Elevate your projects with ABC3D’s Nylon 66 high-performance filament, your ultimate solution for high-stress environments. Engineered to excel in the most demanding conditions, this cutting-edge, carbon fiber-reinforced material is designed for professionals who demand the best.
Engineered for Extreme Environments
Our Nylon 66 high-performance filament is built to thrive in a wide temperature range, from a bone-chilling -45°C to a scorching 135°C. Consequently, it remains steadfast in any environment, retaining its durability and resistance to impact and abrasion. We also care about safety. For this reason, our material contains no halogens and is based on a food-safe resin, ensuring your creations meet high standards.
The Power of Carbon Fiber Infusion
We crafted this filament from our own proprietary formula. Specifically, we combine a strong Nylon 66 (PA66) base with micro-carbon fibers. This results in a material with exceptional mechanical stability, a low coefficient of friction, and natural chemical resistance. Furthermore, this reinforcement provides a low-warp printing experience, which is a significant improvement over standard nylons.
Post-Processing for Maximum Strength
You can heat treat (anneal) any printed parts to improve their physical properties. To do this, simply heat the part at 80–130°C for up to 30 minutes by either submerging it in hot water or by baking it in an oven.
Handling and Drying Instructions
Like all nylons, you must keep this filament dry! If it remains unpackaged, it will readily absorb moisture from the air. This will lead to degraded print quality. For this reason, we always recommend drying your filaments before use by baking them in an oven at 85°C for 4-6 hours.

Nylon 66 High-Performance Filament: FAQs
1. Is this filament abrasive?
Yes. The micro-carbon fibers are very abrasive. Consequently, this filament will destroy a standard brass nozzle very quickly. You must use a hardened steel, ruby-tipped, or other abrasive-resistant nozzle.
2. Do I absolutely need an enclosure to print this?
It is highly recommended. Because this is a PA66-based material, it requires high bed and nozzle temperatures. An enclosure or heated chamber will maintain a stable ambient temperature, which is critical for good layer adhesion and preventing warpage on larger parts.
3. How is this different from your *other* Carbon Fiber Nylon 66?
This Nylon 66 high-performance filament is engineered for extreme temperature resistance (up to 135°C). Our other “Performance” version is a fantastic all-around strong material, but this one is specifically formulated to maintain its structural integrity in high-heat environments like engine bays or industrial machinery.
4. Do I absolutely need to dry this filament?
Yes, 100%. Nylon 66 is one of the most hygroscopic materials. It will absorb moisture from the air in just a few hours. Therefore, you must dry it at 90°C for at least 4 hours immediately before printing. Printing damp nylon will result in bubbles, stringing, and extremely brittle parts.
