The genesis of this material came directly from your feedback. While our Performance PLA is excellent for high-temp applications, many users wanted a more forgiving, impact-resistant option for general use. Consequently, we developed our everyday PLA filament. This formula has lower stiffness and bulk crystallization. This means your prints are less brittle and can withstand more abuse compared to standard PLA. In fact, it’s an extremely forgiving amorphous material, making it a perfect choice for both beginners and experts looking for a hassle-free experience.
Sustainable and Safe for Any Environment
Beyond its great performance, our everyday PLA filament is also a more sustainable choice. PLA (Polylactic Acid) is a bioplastic made from renewable resources like corn starch. Furthermore, it produces minimal odor during printing and is non-toxic, making it safe for use in homes, offices, and schools.

Everyday PLA Filament: FAQs
1. Is this filament abrasive?
No. This is an “unfilled” PLA, meaning it does not contain any abrasive additives like carbon fiber or CNTs. Therefore, it is completely safe to print with a standard brass nozzle.
2. How is this different from your PLA Everyday Matte filament?
Both are high-impact, easy-to-print PLAs. The main difference is the finish. This Everyday PLA Filament has a standard, semi-gloss finish. On the other hand, our Matte PLA has a non-reflective, textured finish that is excellent at hiding layer lines.
3. Why is my PLA print stringing?
Stringing with PLA is almost always a moisture or temperature issue. First, even though PLA is not as hygroscopic as PETG, it can still absorb moisture. Try drying your spool at 50°C for 4-6 hours. Second, your nozzle temperature might be too high. Try lowering it in 5-degree increments.
4. Is this filament food-safe?
While the base PLA resin is non-toxic, 3D printed objects are not considered food-safe. This is because the layer lines can trap bacteria. In addition, pigments and additives used for color may not be food-grade. We do not recommend using this for applications in direct contact with food.
