Product Description:
Kapton® is made from DuPont polyimide films. ABC’s Kapton® tape is ideal for 3D printing beds when trying to increase print adhesion over a large range of temperatures. Our Kapton® tape is 0.076 mm (3 mil) thick and uses a silicone adhesive to secure the tape to the print bed. The tape comes in to variants, 4″ and 8″ wide by 100 m long.
The polyimide surface of this tape provides a smooth, heat-resistant surface for printing, while the silicone adhesive allows for easy removal and leaves no residue behind on the bed. ABC’s Kapton® tape is ideal for printing with PLA, ABS, HIPs, Nylon (PA), PEEK, and ULTEM. Polyimide tape also offers excellent electrical insulation, high temperature resistance, and high voltage resistance. ABC’s Kapton® tape is a UL 510 flame retardant.
Kapton® polyimide films make innovative design solutions possible in a range of industries including, consumer electronics, solar photovoltaic and wind energy, aerospace, automotive and industrial applications.
